Comparison French project steering software: Project Monitor, SuitePro-G, z0 Gravity, Planisware and pylotik
This comparison of French project steering software sets four French portfolio steering vendors side by side, Project Monitor (Virage group), SuitePro-G (IQar), z0 Gravity (GLOBALSI) and Planisware, and pylotik. The first four are PPM tools: they serve project management, the PMO and the IT department first. pylotik also steers the portfolio, and adds the client, contracts, maintenance, staffing and team time entries.
Before comparing
Two questions, before any demo.
Steering software is chosen for what it has to hold, not for the length of its feature list.
Who has to read the steering?
If it is management, the PMO and internal project managers, a PPM is built for them: demand, trade-offs, capacity, consolidation. If your client has to follow its projects and validate what is submitted to it, you need a tool where it has its own access, and none of the four PPM tools in this comparison documents client access.
What has to be held?
A portfolio budget and priorities, or commitments to a client: a fixed-price or time-and-materials contract, a maintenance contract with its volume of days, teams to staff from one week to the next. The French PPM tools document the first; the second is the ground of pylotik.
The vendors
Four French portfolio steering vendors.
Each presentation draws on the vendor's public documentation, checked on the date shown under the table.
Project Monitor (Virage group, Nantes)
Project portfolio management software: demand, multi-project schedule with dependencies and critical path, resources, time, budget from forecast to landing, and equipped project and portfolio reviews. It targets large private and public organizations, deploys as SaaS or on-premises, with hosting in France announced, and interfaces with financial software. It remains the better choice for portfolio committees backed by the budget tracking of a large organization.
SuitePro-G (IQar, Lyon)
PPM software: workload plan, budget tracking, timesheets, strategic scoring, risk register, decisions and actions, with an artificial intelligence assistant hosted by the vendor. It is hosted in France on the Ciril Group cloud, with an on-premises option, and listed with UGAP (the French public purchasing agency). It remains the better choice for a PMO that wants a PPM with public pricing and a decision and action register, with no client projects to steer.
z0 Gravity (GLOBALSI)
Project management software and PPM tool, presented as usable without training: multi-project, Gantt, resources and workload, budgets, risks, dashboards and mobile apps. It is hosted in France on the vendor's servers, with an option on an infrastructure qualified by ANSSI (the French national cybersecurity agency), and listed with UGAP. It remains the better choice for a public buyer or a sensitive organization that requires this infrastructure qualification.
Planisware
French PPM vendor, with Enterprise for large-scale transformations and Orchestra, preconfigured for PMOs: advanced planning, portfolio trade-offs by scenario, capacity, single-tenant cloud with a choice of data region. It remains the better choice for large organizations that arbitrate a strategic portfolio, in particular with Stage-Gate. The pylotik vs Planisware comparison details these points.

What each vendor documents.
"Not documented" means the vendor's public documentation does not mention it, not that the tool does not do it.

The flag shows the vendor's country; the Cloud Act badge flags a vendor under US law, or owned by a US group, subject to the CLOUD Act; Non-EU, a vendor established outside the European Union.
What pylotik adds
From the portfolio to the client.
pylotik is an operational commitment management software: it holds the portfolio, and what the portfolio is built on.
The client in the tool The external client organization gets free access to its space, on every tier. It follows its projects and validates what is submitted to it.
The contract of each project Fixed price with a milestone-based payment schedule, or time and materials with a monthly schedule: ordered, invoiced, paid, balance due and margin at completion. Invoices remain issued by your ERP, to which pylotik sends the invoicing orders. See project financial tracking.
Maintenance A maintenance contract carries its period, its volume in days, its catalog and its committee. See maintenance contract management.
Staffing and time Forecast workload plan, weekly time entry, weekly report and reviews, without grading anyone. See team steering.
Committees held in the tool Agendas, minutes submitted to the client, decisions, actions and risks. See project governance.
One publisher, one host, one backup under French lawpylotik is published by orgatypik SAS, in Toulouse, hosted in France with a host under French law and no US parent company, with backups at a second French provider. See sovereignty and security.
In all frankness
Where pylotik is relevant, and where a PPM remains the better choice.
Relevant when…
Your projects are run with clients An IT services company, an integrator, a maintenance company, an engineering firm, an IT department facing its business units: someone on the other side has to see and validate.
Contracts, projects and maintenance follow one another The same client has a fixed-price project, then a maintenance contract with its volume in days and its committee.
Staffing decides whether dates hold Team workload is set against milestones, week after week, and feedback from the field is heard.
You are leaving a task tool Trello, Asana or Monday are no longer enough, and you do not want a second tool for steering. See the Trello alternative.
A PPM remains the better choice when…
The question is the strategic trade-off of a very large portfolio Investment scenarios, strategic scoring, Stage-Gate: this is the reason Planisware, Project Monitor or SuitePro-G exist.
An infrastructure qualification is required z0 Gravity offers a hosting option on an infrastructure qualified by ANSSI; pylotik claims no qualification.
You want native mobile apps or a public API z0 Gravity publishes iOS and Android apps, SuitePro-G a REST API; the mobile app of pylotik is an installable web app, and it has no public API.
Frequently asked questions
What people ask before choosing French steering software.
Which French project steering software should you choose?
To arbitrate the portfolio of a large organization, look at Planisware, Project Monitor or SuitePro-G; for an infrastructure qualification requirement, z0 Gravity. If your projects are run with clients, with contracts, maintenance and teams to staff, pylotik is built for that case.
Do these tools let the client log in?
The public documentation of Project Monitor, SuitePro-G, z0 Gravity and Planisware describes no client access and no client validation. In pylotik, client access is free on every tier, and the client validates minutes, interventions and amendments.
Does steering software replace the ERP?
No. The ERP keeps invoicing and accounting. pylotik sends it the invoicing orders, through a connector built to your needs. The detail is in ERP or steering software.
Where is the pylotik data hosted?
In France, with a host under French law and no US parent company, with backups at a second French provider. The publisher, the host and the backup provider are companies under French law: the Cloud Act does not target them on that basis.
